The Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2022 is a living legend – an iconic Super Tuscan that has been recognized worldwide as one of Italy's greatest red wines for decades. As the only wine with its own DOC – the Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC – it stands for uncompromising quality, depth, and elegance. It comes exclusively from the renowned Tenuta San Guido winery, which established a completely new understanding of quality in Tuscany with the Sassicaia in the 1960s.

The 2022 vintage presents itself as expressive and structured with exceptional aging potential. As usual, the blend consists of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. The vines grow on gravelly soils – hence the name "Sassicaia" ("rich in stones") – in the hills near Bolgheri, just a few kilometers from the Tyrrhenian Sea. After the harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging for around 25 months in French barriques (some new, some second-hand), followed by bottle aging.

With an alcohol content of 13.5% by volume, a natural cork closure, and a cellaring potential of over 25 years, this 2022 Sassicaia offers an experience for connoisseurs and collectors – powerful, precise, aristocratic.
