The Tement Welschriesling Opok Suedsteiermark DAC 2024 11.5% vol. 0.75 l is a lively and terroir-driven Welschriesling from southern Styria that impressively reflects the signature of the renowned Tement winery. As a Suedsteiermark DAC regional wine, this Austrian white wine stands for freshness, clarity and a precise character of origin. The vines grow predominantly on the typical Opok soils, calcareous marl soils that are characteristic of the region and give the wine its fine minerality and elegant structure.
The vines, which are around 31 years old, produce concentrated grapes that are carefully harvested. After natural spontaneous fermentation, the wine matures for 6 to 12 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks, which gives it additional structure and aromatic depth without losing its freshness. With 11.5% alcohol by volume, this Welschriesling Suedsteiermark DAC is particularly light, precise and animating. Its ideal drinking maturity lies in the first three years, when fruit and freshness harmonize perfectly.
