Takamaka PTI LAKAZ Rum Batch 2 45.1% is a complex blended rum from the Seychelles that combines different raw materials, distillation methods, and barrel aging techniques. The base consists of traditional Seychelles rum distilled in pot stills from sugarcane, sourced from four different barrels, including two port wine barrels. This component is complemented by pot still and column still rum made from molasses, which was aged for three years in ex-Bourbon barrels. For added depth, an eight-year-old molasses rum from Foursquare in Barbados is also included. It is precisely this combination of local Seychelles production, Caribbean rum tradition, and different cask types that makes the Pti Lakaz a particularly distinctive release within the Takamaka range.
