Longrow 100 Proof Peated is a powerful and intense single malt whisky from the renowned Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Longrow is known for its smoky and peaty whiskies, and the Longrow 100 Proof is no exception. At 57.1% alcohol by volume, this whisky takes the flavors and intensity of the Longrow range to a new level. It has been matured in casks previously used for storing bourbon and sherry, which gives it a special complexity and depth.
An intensive 48-hour peat kiln-drying process and double distillation give the Longrow range its uniquely stronger and oily character. Longrow is the successful experiment of Springbank chairman Hedley Wright, who produced an Islay-style malt on the mainland in 1973 - the result is a whisky rarity that has been bottled once a year since 1989.
