The Silver Seal Old Navy Rum Edition 2018 is a powerful navy strength rum that was created in collaboration with Francesco Mattonetti from Very Old Rum. The aim of this special bottling was to revive the authentic style of a historic British Navy rum. The basis for this was an original recipe from historical documents from the late 19th century, which was then interpreted in a modern way and recomposed.

Carefully selected tropically matured rums from Demerara (Guyana), Barbados and Jamaica were married together for this edition. This combination unites the characteristic qualities of the respective rum regions: the strong structure and dark depth of Demerara rum, the balanced elegance of Barbados rum and the aromatic intensity of Jamaica rum. The Old Navy Rum Edition 2018 is bottled at 57% vol., a typical strength for classic navy rum, resulting in a particularly intense yet balanced flavor profile. It is also a strictly limited bottling, with only 1,415 bottles available worldwide. The result is a powerful Caribbean Navy style rum that is reminiscent of the historic style of the traditional Navy rums of the last century.
