Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition ORKNEY (HP) 15 Years Old Single Malt #83 2011 57,1% Vol. 0,7l

The Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition Orkney (HP) 15 Years Old #83 is a 15-year-old Orkney single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026 by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. The discreet designation “Orkney (HP)” refers to the whiskey’s origin in the Scottish Orkney Islands, while the distillery is not fully named on the bottle. Kirsch Import markets the whiskey as a lightly peated single malt from the Orkney region. Regarding maturation and cask type, the product information specifies a “butt” as the cask size. However, more detailed information on the cask’s previous contents—such as sherry or bourbon—is not provided in the linked product information and should therefore not be added.

The Orkney 2011/2026 Signatory 100 Proof Edition #83 is bottled at a robust 57.1% alcohol by volume, which corresponds to the traditional 100 British Proof that gives the product its name. For this bottling, Signatory has omitted both chill filtration and coloring, thereby preserving the natural appearance and unique character of the cask. The combination of 15 years of aging, a distillation year of 2011, a bottling year of 2026, and 57.1% ABV makes this edition an interesting choice for lovers of bold, independent Scotch bottlings. At the same time, the subtle smokiness offers an exciting contrast to the mature island character. Within the Signatory 100 Proof Edition, this bottling—Edition #83—embodies the concept of offering matured single malts with high alcohol content and an unadulterated character.
