The Scheiblhofer winery is a family business and cultivates around 104 hectares of vines, making it one of the largest wineries in Burgenland. All the grapes are processed on the estate and marketed in bottles. The municipality of Andau, where the winery is located, is one of the municipalities with the most hours of sunshine and creates ideal conditions for full-bodied wines thanks to its mineral-rich gravel soil.
The winery is not only well known for its Praedikat wines, but also for its top red wines such as the outstanding "Big John". Johann Scheiblhofer has won more than 300 gold medals at national awards, making him the winner of the most awards in the country.
Scheiblhofer Zweigelt Neusiedlersee DAC is a red wine full of character, made from 100% Zweigelt grapes. After careful harvesting, the wine matures for 6 months in third-fill barriques, giving it a balanced structure. With its drinking maturity until 2028 and its screw cap, this Zweigelt offers long-lasting enjoyment.
