Salzl Grande Cuvee Josanna 2022 14% Vol. 0,75l

The Salzl Grande Cuvee Josanna 2022 14% vol. 0.75 l is a powerful, elegant red wine from Austria that impressively reflects the signature of the renowned Salzl Seewinkelhof winery. This high-quality cuvee from Burgenland combines the Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties to create a multi-layered, structured overall picture. The grapes come from carefully selected sites with loess-like Tschernosem on sandy loam with a high gravel content as well as Paratschernosem and sandy soils, which give the Burgenland red wine its mineral depth.

The wine is vinified in the traditional way with traditional mash fermentation in steel tanks at around 30 °C and a maceration period of around 14 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The Grande Cuvee Josanna then matures for around 12 months in small oak barrels, creating structure, finesse and aromatic complexity. At 14%, this Austrian red wine is full-bodied, balanced and elegant. The optimum drinking window is between 2026 and 2035, making this Salzl cuvee ideal for longer storage.
