The Salzl Blaufraenkisch 2023 is a characterful, elegant red wine from Burgenland that bears the signature of the Salzl Seewinkelhof winery to perfection. It is vinified from 100% pure Blaufraenkisch - the grape variety that is considered the flagship of Austrian red wine. The grapes thrive on loess-like Tschernosem soils of sandy loam with a high gravel content, which ensures optimal drainage and mineral depth. This terroir in Seewinkel produces wines that are powerful, precise and elegant at the same time.

Vinification follows the classic method: traditional maceration in steel tanks at 30 °C with a maceration period of 14 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then matured in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and fruit. The result is an Austrian quality wine that shows the unmistakable fruit and spice of Blaufraenkisch in its pure, unadorned form.
