The Ron Zacapa Centenario Solera Gran Reserva 40% Vol. 1 l + GB is one of the best-known and most respected premium rums in the world, renowned for its exceptional quality, depth and complexity. It is produced in Guatemala, at the foot of the Quetzaltenango Mountains, where the combination of fertile volcanic soil, traditional craftsmanship and the unique climate provides the ideal basis for outstanding rums.
The basis of this fine rum is not molasses, but the rarely used "Virgin Sugar Cane Honey", a particularly pure juice made from freshly pressed sugar cane. The Zacapa Gran Reserva is matured using the traditional solera method, in which rums of different ages - between 6 and 23 years - are married together in a selection of the finest barrels. Former bourbon, sherry and Pedro Ximenez barrels are used, which give the rum its unmistakable depth, fullness and balance.
