It all began when Alois Goelles, father of David Goelles, in collaboration with Josef Zotter, designed the chocolate spirit. Since that day the family began to produce rum. The son, David Goelles, then founded the company Ruotker's in Riegersburg, in Styria.
Ruotker's today offers high quality whiskies, rums and gins.
The "Ron Johan Dark Rum" is used here as the basis for the "Ron Johan Vanilla" distilled in Styria.
The bottle features Pirate Black Beard and the Austrian Archduke Johann, to whom this rum is dedicated.
