In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Goelles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. His entry into the distillation of fine brandies began in 1979, followed by the founding of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which regularly receive recognition.

The "Ron Johan Rum" is characterized by its unique origin: It is distilled in Styria, with the molasses required for production being sourced from Brazil, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic. Another striking feature of this rum is the label on the bottle, which depicts the pirate Black Beard and the Austrian Archduke Johann. The rum is also dedicated to the latter, which gives it a special cultural and historical dimension.

Ron Johan Serie Null Rum is characterized by its creaminess and smoothness, obtained from organically certified sugar cane molasses from Paraguay. It is matured for three years in American white oak barrels, which gives the rum its varied aroma profile. The absence of sugar and artificial additives should be emphasized, which underlines the pure and intense taste of the rum.
