Rey Campero Mezcal CUISHE is an expressive, traditionally crafted mezcal from Oaxaca that impressively reflects the diversity of wild agave varieties. This limited bottling uses only Cuishe agave plants, a wild variety from the Karwinskii family, known for its slender growth habit and particularly mineral aroma profile, that are approximately ten years old. Rey Campero is committed to artisanal mezcal production in harmony with nature, carefully selecting and processing each agave. Production follows classic methods: After harvesting, the agave hearts are roasted in earthen ovens, then crushed, naturally fermented, and double-distilled.

This Mezcal Joven, produced in February 2021, was bottled without aging to preserve the pure, original character of the Cuishe agave. At 49% ABV, it is powerful, complex, and clearly structured. The combination of intense spice, pronounced minerality, delicate fruit notes, and elegant smokiness makes this bottling an authentic representative of high-quality, artisanal mezcals.
