The raw material is first distilled in a gentle pot still process to produce a raw spirit at 40% vol. The second distillation stage produces the coveted fine spirit at 84% vol. which forms the basis for maceration.

During maceration, the selected botanicals are macerated, gently extracting their aromas and preserving them in the fine grain alcohol. The exact recipe remains a closely guarded secret, but it is known that 27 botanicals from over 10 different countries are used. These include lemon zest, angelica root, coriander seeds, turmeric and licorice root. The juniper berries at the heart of Blue Gin always come from the latest harvest and are characterized by their Mediterranean-spicy freshness. Finally, a precise filtration process gives the gin its crystal-clear purity and elegant structure.
