The special feature of this double cask single malt whisky lies in its maturation in two different types of cask. The whisky matures in a combination of ex-bourbon casks made from American oak and ex-sherry casks made from Spanish oak, creating a multi-layered aroma profile. While the bourbon casks contribute soft vanilla and caramel notes, the sherry casks add fruity and spicy components.
