The Porta Leone Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry Millesimato DOCG 2024 11% is a premium Italian Prosecco Superiore from Veneto, produced from the traditional Glera grape variety. The grapes grow on clay and limestone soils in the UNESCO-designated hills of Conegliano at an altitude of about 200 meters and are hand-harvested in the second half of September. The vines are trained using the Sylvoz system. After the manual harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is clarified through static decanting. A portion of the must is stored at a low temperature, while the remainder is fermented under temperature-controlled conditions and then stored in stainless steel tanks.

For the production of this Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, the second fermentation takes place with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature in an autoclave. After bottling, the sparkling wine rests for several more weeks in a refrigerated cellar before being released in 0.75-liter bottles. This meticulous production process preserves the freshness and characteristic Glera style while ensuring a fine, consistent effervescence. As a Millesimato Prosecco, Porta Leone combines its protected DOCG designation with an elegant, harmonious character, making it ideal both for toasting and as a versatile accompaniment to meals.
