Weingut Polz, located in the south of Styria in Austria, is characterized by its ideal wine-growing location. Founded in 1896, it enjoys a reputation for producing high-quality wines, favored by optimal climatic conditions and specific soil characteristics. Under the leadership of the fourth generation, the winery strives to preserve its heritage and continue the family tradition with a strong focus on sustainability. Responsible for the cellar and vinification, Christoph Polz relies on careful manual work and selective grape harvesting, which underlines the quality of the wines.

Polz Steirischer Spiegel is a fascinating cuvee from the renowned wine region of southern Styria. With a proportion of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Riesling and 5% Mueller-Thurgau, this wine combines the typical characteristics of the region and perfectly reflects the unique terroir. The vines thrive on multi-layered soils of shell limestone, clay, sand, limestone marl and slate.

The wine is matured in steel tanks, allowing the grape varieties to retain their clear fruit and lively acidity. After the maturation phase, the wine is bottled with a screw cap to preserve its freshness and longevity until at least 2027.

The result is an expressive white wine with youthful freshness, aromatic complexity and a fine balance between fruitiness and minerality.
