Planteray Rum Navy MISTER FOGG N° 2 is a limited-edition blended rum created as a tribute to the famous fictional character Phileas Fogg from Jules Verne’s *Around the World in 80 Days*. With an alcohol content of 55.7% by volume in a 0.7-liter bottle, this Navy Rum combines selected distillates from several renowned rum-producing nations into an exceptionally complex blend. The individual rums come from Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana, Mauritius, and Jamaica, reflecting the international spirit of exploration that Phileas Fogg embodies. The blending is carried out by Maison Ferrand in France, which is known for its meticulous cask selection and innovative aging methods.

The blend consists of 34% rum from Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery (Barbados), 35% from Trinidad Distillers Ltd. (Trinidad), 20% from Diamond Distillery (Guyana), 6% from Saint Aubin (Mauritius), and 5% from Long Pond and Clarendon Distillery (Jamaica). The individual distillates first mature under tropical conditions in their countries of origin before being blended in France. There, they undergo further aging on the continent and are finished in used cognac, wine, whiskey, and American bourbon barrels, as well as in open wooden vats. This multi-stage aging process adds depth and creates a harmonious balance. The name “Navy Rum” evokes the historic rum rations of the British Navy. The rum is bottled at cask strength (55.7% ABV) and contains a small amount of caramel coloring to harmonize the color.
