The Planteray Rum Jamaica VRW 2017 Kentucky Bourbon Cask Finish is a limited bottling from the renowned Planteray Vintage Collection, which is prized for its authentic vintage rums with special cask finishes. With an alcohol content of 52% vol., a maturation period since the 2017 vintage and bottling in an elegant 0.7-litre bottle including a high-quality gift box (GB), it is aimed at lovers of strong, characterful rums.
Produced in Jamaica, this rum is based on a blend of pot still distillates, which gives it both aromatic intensity and a smooth balance. It first matured for several years in ex-bourbon barrels in the tropics before receiving an additional finish in selected Kentucky bourbon casks in France. This double-ageing process gives the rum a complex aroma in which the typical Jamaican ester notes are combined with vanilla, caramel and a fine woody spice.
