Plantations rums have long since ceased to be an insider tip. The excellent rums are mainly collected in the Caribbean and also in South America and then brought to France, where they are given their finishing touches. In Ars in France, the rum is then stored for several months in small discarded oak cognac barrels. This type of ageing is known as "double ageing", a technique that was already used in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Plantation Rum Barbados 5 Years Old Traditional is characterized by a unique ageing process. First, the rum matures for three years in bourbon barrels in the tropical climate of Barbados, where it develops intense aromas. It is then transported by sea to the southwest of France, where it matures for a further two years in ex-Ferrand barrels in the continental climate.
The result is a refined rum that combines complex flavor nuances and delights both connoisseurs and lovers of fine spirits.
