Penderyn AUR CYMRU Single Malt Welsh Whiskey Madeira Finish 46% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

In the late 1990s, a group of friends wanted to create the first whiskey distillery in Wales for over a century. The dream was to create a whisky as pure and precious as Welsh gold.

Thus, Penderyn Whisky was launched in 2004 on St. David's Day. Dr. David Faraday designed a unique copper still with a still that the friends owned.

The distillery is located in the village of the same name on the southern tip of the Brecan Beacons mountain range. The fresh, natural spring water available there is a component of the great whiskies.

The Aur Cymru, in German "Gold of Wales", is a rare precious commodity.

This golden whisky signals the new beginning of whisky distillation in Wales after more than 100 years.

After distillation, Aur Cymru is aged in ex-bourbon casks. The finish it receives in traditional Madeira casks to develop its exceptional character.
