O'Donnell Moonshine is a modern homage to the heady days of Prohibition in America, where "moonshine" - or "moonlight" - was the term for moonshine. This liqueur, made in Germany, combines the historical heritage with the intense flavor of the liqueurs and is traditionally offered in mason jars reminiscent of the underground distribution of alcohol in the 1920s.
The O'Donnell Moonshine liqueur is named after the infamous South Side O'Donnell Gang, which became notorious during the Chicago Beer Wars of 1923. The gang fought bloody battles with the Torrio organization for supremacy in the illegal distribution of alcohol. This background contributes to the brand's characterful image.
