The crowning glory of the Octomore 14 series is the Octomore 14.3, distilled with 100% Islay Barley. The barley used for this whiskey comes from the Octomore farm just two miles away and gives the 14.3 a very special cereal note.
Adam Hannett, the lead distiller, chose an innovative combination of casks to age the Octomore 14.3, selecting first-fill ex-American whiskey casks as well as second-fill wine casks that give the whiskey a special depth without dominating it.
Octomore 14.3 is not just a whisky in the Super Heavily Peated range, but a tribute to the unique conditions of the Islay region and the expertise of the distillery. It tells the story of the land, the people and the craftsmanship that makes this whiskey so exceptional.
