Since its foundation in 1793, the picturesque location and proximity to the port in the west of the Scottish Highlands have made the Oban Distillery a magnet for new settlers. Oban, which means "little bay" in Gaelic, has developed into one of the most respected and efficient distilleries despite initial challenges. With just two stills, Oban produces up to 700,000 liters of alcohol annually, making it one of the smallest distilleries in the world, a testament to its excellence and tradition in whisky making.

Every year since 2001, a limited collection of exquisitely crafted Scotch whisky original bottlings have seen the light of day at their natural cask strength - the SPECIAL RELEASES from Diageo.

The latest Special Releases "Spirited Xchange" celebrates with great pleasure the latest bottlings in this special series, which is inspired by cultural influences from different countries and brings leading brands to life through unique partnerships with different cultures.

This remarkable Oban The Soul of Calypso matured for a total of 11 years. To give it a unique touch, it was finished in Caribbean pot still rum casks after maturation. The distillery has decided to leave this limited edition in its natural form and bottle it at natural cask strength with 58% by volume.
