The Nonino distilleries are unique in the world as they have five artisanal distilleries, each equipped with 12 discontinuous copper steam stills. Each of these distilleries represents a family member, and in addition there is a steam still for each grandchild, demonstrating the continued dedication to the art of distillation within the family.
In 1973, the Nonino family first introduced the production of their Grappa Monovitigno, made from pomace. Pomace is the solid residue that remains after the grapes have been pressed.
The grape distillate UE embodies the elegance of brandy and the personality of grappa and the word UE means "grape" in the Friulian language. The Nonino Grappa UE Monovitigni Uvabianca represents a harmonious blend of separately distilled grape brandies UE Monovitigni Moscato, Malvasia and Ribolla.
