Noilly Prat is famous for the dry vermouth variety. The world-renowned company was founded in 1813. Noilly Prat is produced by a unique process in the world.
The base wines from the Picpoul and Clairette grape varieties are aged for 12 months in open-air oak barrels. A mix of 20 different herbs from four continents is added to the 600-liter barrels. These include chamomile, coriander from Morocco, bitter orange from Tunisia, cardamom from India and elderflower.
The air exchange through the barrel gives the wine its own character. They give Noilly Prat its special taste. Noilly Prat has been working according to the original recipe since 1843.
