Eaux-de-vie and spirits have been produced in Bassano del Grappa by the Bortollo Nardini company since 1779. The founder of the oldest Italian distillery was Bortollo Nardini. The logo of the company, which is also reflected on the bottles, has been the Ponte Vecchio for years.
This grappa is produced by double distillation followed by cold filtration. The raw material used is grape marc from vines grown on the edge of the mountains in Veneto and Friuli. It is produced in the traditional way, discontinuously with steam and under vacuum.
What makes it special, however, is that it is aged for at least three years in Slavonian oak barrels.
