Founded in 1743 by Claude Moet in Epernay, France, Moet & Chandon has become a leading name in the champagne market. Jean-Remy Moet, a descendant of the founder, acquired the former Hautvillers monastery in 1794, where the monk Dom Perignon developed his pioneering champagne production techniques. The association with historical figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte, a close friend of Jean-Remy Moet, helped to popularize the champagne on international campaigns and increased its popularity worldwide. Moet & Chandon always remained based in Epernay and became synonymous with high-quality champagne.

1987 marked another milestone when Moet Hennessy merged with Louis Vuitton to form the luxury goods group LVMH, now known worldwide for its exclusive products.

The sparkling wine offers a fruity, full-bodied and fresh taste, complemented by complex and rich aromas. The blend of over 100 wines, including Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay, gives it an impressive diversity and intensity. After ageing, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
