The MICHAEL winery is located in Eastern Styria between Weiz and Gleisdorf. The vines are planted on the southern slope of the Rosenberg. The harmonious interplay with nature results in authentic wines with a natural concentration. The Kothgasser family's motto is: "Nature is the key to success."
Michael Welschriesling is a single-varietal white wine made from 100% Welschriesling grapes, which were harvested on October 6, 2023 by selective hand-picking to ensure high quality and ripeness. The subsequent maturation in steel tanks and bottling in bottles with screw caps help to preserve the freshness and aromas. The wine comes from vines grown on a soil of stone and clay. It reaches its optimum drinking maturity within two years of bottling.
