Mermaid Small Batch Gin is a premium London Dry Gin with an alcohol content of 42% in a 0.7-liter bottle, which has been handcrafted in small batches on the Isle of Wight since 2014. Ten carefully and ethically sourced botanicals are used in its production, giving the gin its distinctive character. Among the key ingredients are organic lemon peel, grains of paradise, and wild-harvested rock samphire (sea fennel), which grows along the coast of the Isle of Wight. This special botanical is nicknamed “Mermaid’s Kiss” on the island and gave the gin its name. Rock samphire was once considered a sign of safety for sailors and smugglers who reached the coast after stormy seas. In this way, Mermaid Gin combines the island’s maritime history with modern distillation techniques and a distinctive coastal character.
