The Markowitsch Carnuntum Red 2024 is a finely balanced cuvée from the heart of the Carnuntum region and embodies the perfect balance of fruit, spice, and elegance. The Markowitsch winery is known for its precise work in the vineyard and cellar, and this wine demonstrates why it is one of the region's top wineries.

The cuvée is composed of 80% Zweigelt, 10% Blaufränkisch, and 10% Merlot. The vines grow on gravelly and sandy loam soils, which lend the grapes minerality and structure. The 2024 vintage in Carnuntum is considered one of the most exciting in recent years: A warm start to spring ensured early bud break, the hot summer months accelerated vegetation, and an early, small-quantity but superior-quality harvest produced grapes with incredible concentration. The harvest was carried out by hand in mid-September. After a 10–12 day maceration at 28–30°C and malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in large wooden barrels and used barriques. With an alcohol content of 13%, the Markowitsch Carnuntum Red 2024 presents itself as an authentic ambassador of its region and a red wine of exceptional finesse.
