The Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2023 14% is a time-honored Tuscan red wine from the Chianti Classico region, with Sangiovese forming the foundation alongside complementary grape varieties. The history of Villa Antinori dates back to the 1928 vintage and embodies the Antinori family’s commitment to combining tradition with continuous innovation. For the 2023 vintage, the harvest began in the second half of September with Sangiovese and concluded in the second week of October with the other grape varieties. After destemming and gentle crushing, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 28–30 °C. Maceration lasted approximately 10 to 14 days, with the aim of achieving controlled extraction of structure and tannins.

After malolactic fermentation, the individual lots were blended and aged in wood until late spring 2025, primarily in large oak barrels and, to a lesser extent, in barriques. Bottling of the vintage began in July 2025. With 14% alcohol by volume in the 0.75-liter bottle, the Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2023 combines the classic heritage of the Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva with a long aging period and the Antinori family’s centuries-old winemaking tradition. This vintage is therefore particularly well-suited for lovers of structured Sangiovese wines from Tuscany who are seeking a classic Chianti Classico with distinct aging potential and versatile pairing possibilities.
