This whisky is a meeting of a variety of cask types. The dominant component consists of the Ambassador casks, which are designed with an ex-bourbon body and Swedish oak as the base (this corresponds to 23% of the cask volume). In addition, there are 27% ex-bourbon casks, 23% Swedish oak casks and finally 19% American oak casks in the mix.
Of all the casks used, a remarkable 60% are either peated or even particularly heavily peated. This underlines the deliberate play with the smoky elements that flow into Mackmyra Identitet and give the whisky its unique note.
