The Kracher winery is located in the "Seewinkel" region of Burgenland in Austria. Thanks to the warm and humid climate, the evaporation from the lake and the evening mist, the conditions here are ideal for Botrytis cinerea, the basis for outstanding sweet wines such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen. Gerhard Kracher continues to run the winery with the same dedication. In addition to the famous Trockenbeerenauslesen, the winery also offers Beerenauslesen, Auslesen, ice wine and small quantities of dry white and red wine and is considered one of the best-known wineries in Austria.
Liliac & Kracher Ice Wine is made from 100% Feteasca Regala grapes. It is matured in steel tanks, followed by 4 months of ageing, during which the wine develops its characteristic aromas and fine balance. After this ageing period, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
