Weinhof Leitner is a family business run by Hannes and Helmut Leitner. The winery and vineyards are located in the south-eastern Styrian hill country and cover 16 hectares. The Pannonian climate prevails in this area, with Mediterranean influences creating good conditions for successful, high-quality wine production.
The Leitner Sauvignon Blanc is an outstanding white wine, characterized by its pure composition of 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. These special grapes thrive on nutrient-rich sandstone, a terroir that gives the wine its unique note and complexity. The harvest of the fully ripe Sauvignon Blanc grapes is carefully selected in mid-September, a time that ensures the optimum balance between ripeness and acidity.
Traditionally, the wine is matured in steel tanks. After this careful maturation in steel tanks, the wine is bottled and sealed with a screw cap.
