The Kilkerran Heavily Peated Small Batch Single Malt Scotch Whisky Batch 13 comes from the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown and presents the powerful, smoky style of the Heavily Peated series at cask strength. This bottling is released as a cask strength whisky at 58.6% by volume, underpinning the distillery's natural production philosophy. It is traditionally matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, creating a complex interplay of intense peat smoke, malty depth and fruity, spicy cask accents. As part of the ongoing small batch series, Batch 13 shows the characteristic authenticity of an unfiltered, uncolored Campbeltown whisky that interprets the long tradition of the region in a modern way.

The Glengyle Distillery, originally founded in 1872 and later reopened, is today one of the smallest, but qualitatively outstanding distilleries in Scotland. The Heavily Peated series forms an exciting contrast to the classic, lighter Kilkerran style and is aimed at lovers of strong, earthy and smoky whiskies. The cask strength gives Batch 13 great aromatic depth, while the combination of different cask types provides additional complexity.
