Kavalan is the name of the Yilan region, which lies south-east of the capital Taipei. An important reason for choosing this location is the excellent water quality. There is plenty of cold spring water in Yilan, which flows through the Snow Mountain.
The Kavalan Distillery's Solist range includes specially selected barrels from the master blenders. These casks are known for their individual character and fine quality.
This whisky is matured in hand-picked American ex-bourbon casks.
