The Kavalan SOLIST Manzanilla Sherry Cask is an exceptional single malt whiskey from Taiwan that is aged entirely in a select Manzanilla sherry cask. Manzanilla is a dry style of sherry whose cask character imparts a unique blend of fruity, sweet, and salty notes to the whiskey. The intensive aging in Taiwan’s warm climate fosters a particularly pronounced exchange between the distillate and the oak. As part of the renowned Kavalan SOLIST series, this bottling is presented as a single cask and at cask strength with an alcohol content of 58.6%. It is not chill-filtered, and the whiskey retains its natural color, ensuring that the unique character of the individual cask remains as unaltered as possible.

Since its founding in Taiwan, the Kavalan Distillery has made a name for itself internationally with its intensely cask-influenced single malts. The Kavalan SOLIST Manzanilla Sherry Cask achieved a special milestone at the 2016 World Whiskies Awards, where a corresponding bottling was honored as the World’s Best Single Cask Single Malt Whisky.
