This whiskey is based on a classic mash bill of 80% corn, 10% rye and 10% malted barley, which gives it a pleasant sweetness with a subtle spiciness and a soft malty note. Before maturing, it undergoes traditional charcoal filtering (Lincoln County Process), which makes it particularly mild and smooth - a typical characteristic of Tennessee whiskey. It is then matured for three years in new, burnt oak barrels, which gives it its characteristic vanilla, caramel and oak aromas.
