This Tennessee whiskey is produced using the traditional charcoal mellowing process, in which the freshly distilled whiskey is filtered drop by drop through a layer of charcoal made from sugar maple several meters thick. This elaborate process ensures a particularly smooth yet strong taste. The whiskey is then matured in handmade oak barrels, which allow for intensive maturation due to Tennessee's climate with warm summers and cool winters.
