During Charcoal Mellowing, the freshly distilled whiskey seeps drop by drop through a three-meter-thick layer of charcoal from the sugar maple.
As special as the filtering of the Gentleman Jack is also its maturation process in the barrel. Only our own barrels made of the best American white oak are used for this purpose.
The inside of the barrels are carefully 'toasted' to caramelize the natural sugar of the wood. After its barrel maturation, this Tennessee whiskey goes through the Charcoal Mellowing for the second time.
