The Inchdairnie KinGlassie 8 Years Old Double Matured Fife Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the innovative InchDairnie Distillery and exemplifies a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Scotch whisky production. The distillery from Fife pursues a holistic approach from grain cultivation to bottling and consistently relies on regional raw materials and modern production methods. KinGlassie is a heavily peated Fife single malt Scotch whisky that is distilled exclusively for two weeks each year in winter. Only barley malt from Fife is used, which is malted with mainland peat to over 50 ppm. The whisky is matured as a double matured whisky for a total of eight years in the distillery's warehouses. The whisky is initially matured for five years in ex-bourbon casks made from American oak before being transferred to Amontillado sherry casks for a further three years. Bottled at 46.3%, non-chill-filtered and without the addition of colorants, this bottling retains its full texture and cask structure and stands for uncompromising quality with a clear signature.
