"The Ileach" - the name means "The Man from Islay" - is actually a Lagavulin of the highest peatiness. A deep whisky for all connoisseurs who appreciate this or - as it has been said - a lump of peat dissolves in the glass! The palate develops a wonderful balance of peat, oiliness and a light, bitter-sweet note. Overwhelming! In the finish the peat changes into a pleasant bitterness with oak notes. A fabulous malt. Ileach is pronounced "ILJACH" by the way.

Received the Gold Award of the International Wine & Spirit Competition IWSC. A very recommendable and inexpensive alternative to Lagavulin.
