The Hillinger Hill Side Red 2018 13% Vol. 6 l is an expressive red wine cuvee from Burgenland that combines the characteristic interplay of several grape varieties to create a powerful yet elegant Austrian red wine. Produced by the renowned Leo Hillinger winery, this cuvee red wine combines the spiciness of Syrah, the fruity structure of Zweigelt and the power of Merlot to create a harmonious composition. The blend consists of 60% Syrah, 30% Zweigelt and 10% Merlot, resulting in a multi-layered Burgenland red wine with an international character.

Vinification takes place by mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months of maturation in barriques, with around one third in new and two thirds in used oak barrels. This is followed by 6 months of bottle ageing, which gives the wine additional harmony and structure. With 13% alcohol by volume, this cuvee red wine from Austria is powerful and balanced. The impressive 6-liter Methuselah bottle makes this Hillinger red wine a special eye-catcher at festive occasions or in sophisticated wine collections. The wine is ready to drink now and has a storage potential of around 6 to 8 years.
