The Hennessy distillery is based in Cognac, France. The company was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy and is now run by the eighth generation. The officer emigrated from Ireland to Cognac and founded the company "Jas Hennessy & Co" at that time. The cognac of Richard Hennessy quickly gained high reputation and became known worldwide.

For the production the own grown grapes from the region of Cognac are used. After double distillation in copper stills, pure eaux-de-vie is produced, which serves as a base for the cognacs.

The Hennessy distillery is particularly proud of its collaboration with the North American professional basketball league National Basketball Association, NBA for short, and presents the new limited edition of Hennessy Very Special. Hennessy Very Special is one of the most popular cognacs in the world and is aged in oak barrels, which gives it its intensity. This limited cognac expresses its lively and dynamic personality through its unique partnership.
