The Hagn Cuvee Komptur 2023 14% vol. 0.75 l is a powerful yet elegant Austrian quality red wine from Lower Austria, produced by the Hagn winery in Mailberg in the Weinviertel region. The cuvee combines Pinot Noir and Merlot to create a harmonious composition and comes from the Zuckerschlee vineyard, whose loess soils offer ideal conditions for complex and expressive red wines from Austria.

After harvesting, the grapes are quickly crushed and then fermented for 23 days in stainless steel tanks at around 27°C, with flooding and aeration ensuring optimum extraction. The subsequent maturation takes place 40% in barriques and 60% in large wooden barrels before the Hagn Cuvee Komptur is bottled after around 24 months of ageing. With 14% alcohol by volume, a recommended serving temperature of 17-19°C and a drinking window of around 2025 to 2033, the Hagn Komptur presents itself as a structured, multi-layered red wine with depth and elegance.
