The Cava de Oro brand stands for high-quality 100% agave tequila, which comes from the Tequilera Puerta de Hierro. This distillery, located in El Arenal Jalisco, Mexico, produces handcrafted tequilas. The blue agaves are carefully harvested to ensure the best quality. Four varieties are then distilled: Plata, Reposado, Anejo and Extra Anejo. The Cava de Oro Anejo tequila, which is matured for two years, is very popular.
It matures longer than the minimum period of one year in the barrel required for the designation Anejo. Activated charcoal filtering makes the tequila crystal clear without losing any of its taste. The result is a crystal-clear 100% agave tequila that has the complexity of an anejo tequila.
