The Gerard Bertrand Naturae Merlot Pays d'Oc 2024 stands for a modern, clearly interpreted Merlot from the south of France that focuses on naturalness, fruit and balance. The Naturae line pursues a consistently purist approach and completely dispenses with added sugar and sulphur. The aim is to reflect the grape variety and its origin in an unadulterated way. The Merlot comes from the Pays d'Oc and benefits from the Mediterranean climate, which ensures ripe fruit, structure and harmonious strength. With an alcohol content of 14%, the 2024 vintage is full-bodied and balanced at the same time. The vinification is aimed at preserving freshness and varietal typicity and creating an accessible, clear red wine with a high drinking flow.
The Naturae Merlot 2024 presents itself as an honest and uncomplicated red wine with depth and expression. Careful work in the vineyard and cellar ensures a clean, precise style that is convincing both on its own and as a versatile accompaniment to food. This Merlot from the Pays d'Oc is ideal for immediate enjoyment and will appeal to connoisseurs who appreciate a powerful but not overloaded red wine from the south of France.
