In 1975, Gerard Bertrand began his grape harvest at Chateau de Villemajou in the Corbieres, where he discovered his passion for wine. Over the course of twelve years, he honed his skills alongside his father Georges Bertrand until the fourth generation finally carried on the legacy. After the tragic death of his father in 1987, Gerard Bertrand took over the family management of the Domaine de Villemajou and founded the Gerard Bertrand wine company. The Gerard Bertrand Group comprises 16 wine estates and 16 chateaux along the Mediterranean coast of France, covering a total of 850 hectares. Some of the grapes are harvested by hand and matured in 225-liter Bordeaux barrels, while the rest is stored in stainless steel tanks.

The Cote des Roses, a tribute to the Mediterranean lifestyle, comes from the renowned Gerard Bertrand vineyard in the Languedoc region, along the Mediterranean coast to the Spanish border. The area benefits from a semi-arid Mediterranean climate, which creates ideal conditions for viticulture. The bottle design, created by a young designer from the French college Ecole Boulle, presents a bottle base in the shape of a rose blossom.

Gerard Bertrand Cote des Roses Chardonnay develops its unique profile on chalky soils and sun-drenched sites, giving it an expressive and full-bodied character. This rose can mature until 2025 and is sealed with a glass cork.
