The Gerard Bertrand Corbieres An806 AOP 2022 is an expressive, Mediterranean red wine from the Languedoc region that embodies the quintessence of southern French wine tradition in a modern form. The cuvee of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre comes from carefully tended vineyards around the Corbieres appellation, where barren limestone and slate soils, plenty of sunshine and the influence of the Mediterranean give the grapes remarkable ripeness and depth. All grapes are harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality.

Vinification is carried out with great precision: while the Syrah undergoes carbonic maceration for 10 to 18 days, Grenache and Mourvedre undergo traditional maceration with complete destemming. After malolactic fermentation, the individual grape varieties are blended into a harmonious cuvee. The wine then matures for around 8 months in 225-liter Bordelaise oak barrels before being lightly fined and bottled. It is then aged in the bottle for several months to further refine its structure, depth and elegance.
